Areas of Expertise

  • Advises S&W’s clients concerning all aspects of the California Fair Employment Act (FEHA) ranging from harassment, discrimination and retaliation in the workplace.
  • Handles employment litigation matters involving FEHA and other claims in federal and state courts and private arbitrations.
  • Provides guidance to S&W’s clients in complying with California wage and hours laws including computation of overtime and double overtime pay, meal and rest periods, wage statements and employee/independent contractor classification.
  • Handles employment litigation involving claims pursued under the California Private Attorney General Act (PAGA).
  • Oversees S&W’s clients in complying with Federal, State and Municipal labor and employment laws.
  • Provides auditing of S&W’s clients’ business practices and drafting/updating of employment manuals.
  • Uses her expertise concerning non-solicitation and non-competition law in various jurisdictions to advise S&W’s clients of a former employee’s rights and remedies.
  • Handles employment litigation involving trade secret, solicitation and unfair competition claims.
