- Summary judgment granted in favor of S&W’s clients (the studio, distributor and producer of the motion picture Lottery Ticket) in a copyright infringement action before the U.S. District Court in Atlanta, Georgia.
- Judgment after trial for actual and punitive damages in a defamation action for actor Rip Torn against Dennis Hopper arising out of statements made on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
- Successfully defended numerous copyright infringement lawsuits, including cases concerning the motion pictures Pearl Harbor and Pirates of the Carribean.
- Represented Paramount Pictures in a long-running action involving the television series Cheers, which resulted in a number of new legal principles concerning the right of publicity.
- $80 million jury verdict for Francis Ford Coppola against Warner Bros.
- Represented George Harrison against the Globe tabloid in a defamation action, in which he obtained a retraction, apology and significant monetary award.
